The Royal Flying Doctor Service travels far and wide to offer 24/7 aeromedical retrieval. But to create better health outcomes for all Australians, we’ve gone even further.

Today, more than 50% of our daily operations are dedicated to extensive primary healthcare services, including dental, mental health and healthcare education.

387,300 Australians are assisted by the RFDS every year through clinics, aeromedical transports and telehealth consultations.

65 primary health care clinics delivered every day, providing medical care, immunisations, health education, mental health and dental health care services.

2,370 medical chests located across rural and remote Australia, supported by 24/7 telehealth services and emergency evacuations.

The Impact You’ll Make

Together, we’ll save precious lives. From ensuring the safe delivery of premature babies in remote areas, to helping beloved parents survive heart attacks and return home to their families. You’ll help us be a mate to graziers doing it tough, and provide dental care for people, who without the RFDS, would have no other option.

You’ll be part of a team that will ensure children battling cancer get to the best hospitals in the country, and together we will put patients’ minds at ease with the knowledge that our nurses and doctors are on their way to care for them and take them to safety.

By supporting the RFDS, you’re caring for the well-being of people in the bush, regardless of their situation, reflecting the very essence of what it means to be Australian.

You and the RFDS

Queenslanders have trusted the RFDS for over 95 years to deliver emergency aeromedical retrieval, essential primary and preventative healthcare to remote, rural and regional areas.
